A Conversation about California's College Readiness Challenges

  • Asian Pacific Community Fund of Southern California 1145 Wilshire Boulevard Los Angeles, CA, 90017 United States (map)

Tune in TODAY on Tuesday, March 9 at 3pm on Facebook @AdvancingJusticeLA for a 30-minute live stream with CA Sen. Connie M. Leyvas and our own policy director Nikki Dominguez.  They will be talking about the state of college access and readiness, and how we can change it by increasing access to A-G (college prep) courses and resources.

The College Access for All act, otherwise known as SB 309 is a pending piece of legislation that will unlock millions of dollars to make sure that ALL students including Asian Americans, Pacific Islanders, Black, and Latinx students are given equitable opportunities to achieve their highest potential.

Also joining that discussion will be The Campaign for College Opportunity, Executive Vice President Jessie Ryan and Pomona Unified Alumni and Pitzer College student, Melanie Andreo.
