As the Co-Managing Partner at Fineman West, Wendy helps clients in the consumer products, real estate, manufacturing, technology, and entertainment industries in financial accounting and tax planning. In 2018 and 2021, she was listed by the LA Business Journal as one of the Most Influential Women in Accounting. She received her master's degree in Business Taxation and her bachelor's degree at the University of Southern California. At home she enjoys spending her time with her son and two daughters.

Marco Cordova is the Director of Film Finance and West Coast Tax Credit Investments for Monarch Private Capital, Marco is one of the Nation’s leading Film and Television tax credit placement specialists, helping his production clients sell over $1 billion in tax credits and the recipient of the Credits and Incentives Tax Article of the Year Award by IPT (2017). Furthermore, Marco works with many Fortune 500 and institutional clients with their acquisition of film, renewable energy, historic, and low-income-housing tax credits to offset various corporate taxes.

Marco holds a Master in Business Taxation Degree from USC, and he is an LMU Accounting Advisory Board Member. Marco is also California CPA and a registered representative with FINRA.

Tony Chou leads Oak Family Investments and Consultants. He is also founding partner of Opsis Capital and a venture partner at K50 Ventures. Previously he spent over 10 years at Smith Barney Morgan Stanley and Merrill Lynch specializing in Private Wealth Management for the International Division. Based in Los Angeles, Tony now specializes in investments and operations for business owners. He believes in value creation utilizing relationships and "out of the box approaches." In his free time,.he is a volleyball coach and Rotarian in the city of San Marino where he serves his community.

Elaine Quach is the Director of GL Accounting at Pacific Summit Energy LLC (PSE) responsible for overseeing the energy commodity accounting operations, technical accounting, and financial reporting for PSE and its affiliates. Prior to that, she was with Southern California Edison for 10 years supporting its energy procurement functions. Elaine has over 20 years of experience in the areas of finance, accounting, tax, auditing, internal controls, and system implementation. Elaine is a licensed CPA with an Accounting degree from California State University, Los Angeles and an MBA from Pepperdine University. Elaine joins our Board in November 2018. In addition to APCF, Elaine is also active with Asian American Professional Association, a non-profit organization set out to inspire, develop, and promote Asian American and minority professionals to maximize their leadership potential.

With 20 years' experience across public accounting, Fortune 500, hypergrowth startups, family office and venture capital, James launched JMC Strategic Advisory in 2022 to partner with venture capital funds and operating companies to help fund managers, founders and CEOs achieve their financial objectives. He received his bachelor's degrees in Business Economics and Physiological Science from UCLA and his master's degree in Taxation from USC. During his spare time, he enjoys hiking, camping and travelling with his wife and 3 children.

James Chan

Heather Kim is an account coordinator at IW Group.  She supports key agency accounts and manages

day-to-day client communications and relationships for clients including Northwestern Mutual, Covered

California, and Love Bonito. Heather specializes in developing and executing innovative media relations

and consumer-focused campaigns and projects, as well as post-campaign measurement and analytics.

 

Heather has a journalism background; she worked as a producer at Radio Korea, the largest Korean

media company in Los Angeles, producing a range of radio shows focused on engaging and informing

the Korean community in the US.  She also served as a project coordinator at a marketing agency in

Korea, with an emphasis on digital and event marketing connecting American brands to Korea.

Heather Kim

Lawrence Park is a Managing Director at J.P. Morgan focusing on delivering the firm’s corporate and investment banking products primarily to large and mid-cap public and private companies. He has 19 years of M&A and corporate finance experience working with clients across general industrials and consumer/retail sectors. Previously, Lawrence was an M&A investment banking Director and Vice President within Lazard’s Industrials group and prior to that was an investment banking Associate at Credit Suisse. Prior to investment banking, he was a Program Manager and Systems Engineer for the Battlefield Radar division of Raytheon and is a U.S. Army veteran.

Lawrence earned his M.B.A. from the University of Chicago’s Booth School of Business and his Bachelors of Science in Systems Engineering from the United States Military Academy at West Point. Lawrence enjoys spending time with his two sons.

Lawrence Park

Born in St. Louis, MO but grew up in Houston, TX, Felix moved to Los Angeles, after graduating from the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, PA with a degree in Bioengineering, to begin his career with the global conglomerate Tyco International, where he worked for 6 years before retiring from electronics manufacturing. After a brief hiatus, he began a new career in the hospitality industry with Hyatt International at the Park Hyatt Los Angeles. Currently, he is managing the family business, including the Best Western Plus Thousand Oaks Inn, Blossom Events, MarieNatie Cosmetics, and other investments.

Felix’s core belief is that the success of the individual is dependent on success of the whole, the “Ohana.” Community service is a key tenet for himself and his businesses, particularly the Taiwanese community and the elimination of extreme poverty through the education and support of women, children and families. He currently serves on the board and advisory council for several organizations, such as Taiwanese United Fund, Taiwanese Chamber of Commerce of North American, Taiwanese-American Chamber of Commerce of Greater Los Angeles, PACE Universal, Interface Children & Family Services, Asian Pacific Community Fund, CLU Community Leaders Association, Conejo Valley Tourism Improvement District, Greater Conejo Valley Chamber of Commerce, and Hospitality & Tourism Advisory Council at California Lutheran University’s School of Management. In addition, Felix is an active member the Rotary Club of Thousand Oaks, serving on their Board for 5 years and honored with the club’s New Member of the Year and Ed Hagar Award for Generosity & Commitment, as well as Rotary International’s Vocational Service Leadership Award.

Felix and Mary were blessed with 2 young daughters. If he had any spare time, Felix would go surfing, rowing, and skiing and play softball, tennis and golf. He and his family enjoy traveling and new experiences in cultures, arts, and entertainment.

Angel Chen is a Managing Director in Deutsche Bank Wealth Management's Family Office Practice. Angel is multicultural & community motivated. She and her team work with corporate executives, private equity, real estate enterprises, hedge fund principals, entrepreneurs domiciled in the US and abroad, family foundations, and family offices. Her team focuses on solving complex issues involving financing needs, investments and cash management, capital markets and strategies for estate and tax planning. Angel has over 20 years of professional experience in the financial services industry. Prior to joining Deutsche Bank, Angel was a Senior Vice President/Private Banking Team Lead at City National Bank's Private Bank.

Angel is a native of Taipei, Taiwan. She spent her childhood there, getting accustomed to the fast-paced city life which still fascinates her to this day. As a youth, she experienced a bit of a culture shock when she moved to the beautiful Laguna Beach. She adapted quickly, but still kept true to her city roots. She pursued and received degrees in Economics and Business Management from UC Irvine and then went on to receive an MBA in Global Asset Management in her spare time from her full-time job.

Angel began her career in Orange County, learning skills in banking, credit, cash-flow analysis, tax planning and estate planning services. Because she was so attracted to the financial center of Los Angeles, Angel moved her base of operations to downtown LA where she became the top leading Manager at her bank for many years running. Since then, her coverage has grown to include clients all over Greater Los Angeles and its surrounding affluent areas: Santa Barbara, Orange County, San Diego and even the San Francisco Bay Area.

Angel is philanthropically inspired. She has an interest and commitment towards community activism and also as a women's advocate. She volunteers time to serve on several boards for civic and charitable organizations. In addition, Angel is one of the original founders of Asian Woman in Business Southern California and she is an active member of the UC Irvine Alumni. Other than her passion for her career and community associated affairs, she considers herself a “foodie” and enjoys enhancing her culinary skills by participating in cooking classes and hosting various seasonal/festive gatherings. She is also a firm believer in the positive effects of health and fitness. She enjoys spending time at her home nestled in the foothills of the San Gabriel Mountains with her husband Glen, their son Leonardo, and their dog Rolly.

Nancy currently holds position as Senior Vice President, Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) Community Development Officer for Banc of California, where she establishes relationships with community organizations for the purpose of investing and creating programs for underserved individuals, families, and small businesses. After spending nearly a decade working in Marketing, Nancy found a knack in her work while working closely with non-profit organizations and transitioned her career to community development. Nancy received her bachelor's degree at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) and currently attends Pacific Coast Regional Banking School. She and her family enjoys discovering new foods while traveling locally and internationally.

Nancy Morikawa

Elaine Quon is a Principal Manager at Southern California Edison’s

Revenue Service Organization managing key billing and credit/collections support areas such as Robotics Process Automation, Technology Portfolio and System Oversight, and Performance KPI and Metrics Reporting.

Her career began at Arthur Anderson, L.L.P. has worked at Sony Pictures Entertainment and has held various positions at SCE in the areas of strategic planning, technology portfolio planning, major systems implementation and program/project management. She holds an undergraduate degree from the University of California, Los Angeles in Economics-Business is a Certified Public Accountant, and a Masters degree in Leadership at Azusa Pacific University in May 2023. 

Her passion is to mentor API and women leaders within her company and through the Asian American Professional Association (AAPA) and UCLA Alumni Association. 

Her free time involves Yoga, learning pickleball, hiking, playing piano, learning to play pickleball and spending time with her family.

Elaine Quon

Rae Xu joined SoCalGas in 2011 and her current role is Vista Team Lead. Vista is a transformational program to retire the organization’s current Customer Information System (CIS) and replace it with a modern CIS platform. Rae leads the Customer Relationship and Marketing workstreams under Customer Engagement. Prior to that, Rae worked for the Customer Strategy & Engagement organization, leading customer insights function at SoCalGas, where her team primarily focused on customer and business insight generation utilizing various data tools help generate valuable insights for the organization. 

In addition to Rae’s day-to-day job, she also serves as the Vice President of CAPE (Community of Asians & Pacific Islanders in Energy), a SoCalGas Employee Resource Group.

Rae has an MBA from City University of Seattle. During her free time, she enjoys cruising around the world and participating charity events that help local communities and organizations.

Charles Hung, Jr.

Linda Nguyen is a Venture Builder who works with visionary leaders who need support in execution, turning their ideas into reality. Infusing her work with a deep-seated intention of compassion, Linda has worked alongside enterprising visionaries, global spiritual leaders, and local community organizers to lift, launch, and ignite purpose-driven projects. As a board member for various cultural organizations and a builder for emerging endeavors, Linda cultivates impactful collaborations and meaningful connections. From the right intention emerges influential action, and it is with this authentic and curious vision that she continues to support diverse communities that bring the umami of our heritage to the forefront of our world.

As a community leader, Linda actively uses her influence to drive positive change and explores strategic alliances to echo voices in unity. She devotes her community service to serving on the boards of the Asian Business Association (ABA) and National Association of Asian American Professionals Orange County (NAAAP-OC). Additionally, she is Chair of Charitable Giving for the Southern California Vietnamese Golf Alliance and serves as an event committee member for the Asian Pacific Community Fund (APCF). Passionate about giving back, Linda mentors high school students, ensuring they stay on track to graduate and preparing them to enter their first year in college.

Linda is a part of the Gold House Founders Network and Summit communities. Accolades include Senator Tom Umberg's Woman of Distinction, ABAOC's Presidential Award, Operation Be Kind's Community Impact Award, and FACCOC's Ambassador of the Year.

Through her lived experience, Linda aims to inspire others to defy traditional ideals and utilize their innate talents to forge new paths as creatives, entrepreneurs, and non-traditionalists, thus creating their unique legacies. Her contributions have been featured in prominent media outlets such as ABC7, BBC News, BuzzFeed, Daily Pilot, Databox, IncFile, LA Times, Little Saigon TV, NBC4, OC Register, ShoutoutLA, Thrive Global, TimesOC, ValiantCEO, and VoyageLA.

Linda holds a degree in Merchandise Marketing from the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising. In her spare time, she enjoys attending local pop-up events to support small businesses and coordinating experiences for friends and the local community. Orange County is where Linda proudly calls home.

Linda Nguyen

Benjamin Tran is the Chief Operating Officer at Plan C Agency. He joined our board in 2015 and has been working with the Asian American community through events, entertainment, and advertising for over 15 years. He received his bachelor's degree at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). Benjamin met his beautiful wife at UCLA and has two sons.

Andy is the SVP Treasurer for PCB Bank, where he oversees the Bank’s treasury function, including cash management, debt management, cash forecasting, and investment portfolio management. He has spent the majority of his professional career within the Banking industry, serving in various roles ranging from financial planning and analysis, profitability, tax and asset liability management. He received his bachelor’s degree in Accounting from the University of Southern California. On his time off, he enjoys new food and wants to get back into salsa dancing again.

Andy Yang

Eric is a Senior Vice President and Center Manager for Citizens Business Bank in Commercial Banking based in Arcadia, California, specializing mainly in commercial and Industrial lending as well as some commercial real estate and multi-family lending.

He has over 35 years in the industry with experience in large to mid-size international and domestic banks and managed both domestic and Japanese corporate groups within the bank and the parent agency. Have also established and managed the Underwriting team for one of the major international bank. Have maintain various management roles with different financial institutions and including executive c-level management roles as well.

Have always maintained a strong following of clients who has followed him to different financial institutions over the years since beginning of his banking career.

Eric Karasawa

Joo Wan works in data analytics for IPG Mediabrands. Joo Wan has several professional service experience under his belt. Joo Wan has worked as a management consultant at Slalom, a strategist for the multiple award-winning marketing agency, IW Group, an investment banking analyst for a boutique firm, Salem Partners, and a commercial banking analyst for a super regional bank, Bank of Hope. Through the years, Joo Wan has garnered experience and skill sets in customer outreach, market expansion, marketing strategies, market and customer research, financial analysis, and due diligence. In addition to APCF, Joo Wan also volunteers annually for Asian World Film Festival. In his spare time, Joo Wan loves to travel, read, and spend time with his golden retriever.

Christiana Tu is a Vice President and Trust Officer for City National Trust & Estate in Downtown Los Angeles. She is responsible for overseeing personal trust accounts for high-net-worth clients and she is the dedicated Trust Officer for administering Special Needs Trust in Southern California. Christiana serves as the Co-Chair of the Asian American Network, Employee Resource Group of City National Bank; she is committed to leading initiatives fostering Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion in the workplace and giving back to the AANHPI community.

Christiana is a proud wife of a U.S. Army Veteran and mother to her one and only son. During her free time, she enjoys experiences that explores the coffee aficionado and fitness enthusiast sides of her.
