HEALING THROUGH THE ARTS
This year, we’re hosting SIX workshops that integrate mental health, promote whole-person health, and the arts, including:
Zine-making with Zoë Cain,
“Dance of the Heart” with Toni Pasion,
Harm reduction and opioid reversal training with LA CADA,
Spoken word with NAAPIMHA,
Self-defense and situational awareness with API RISE,
and an intimate workshop on letting go of the past and reconciling with the present, facilitated by Dr. Munar and Jackie Viernes, co-authors of Can We Talk?
LIVE TRANSLATION IN MANDARIN, CANTONESE, AND SPANISH
Access live translation using your smartphone! We thank our multilingual Festival Chaperones for providing in-person translation.
COMMUNITY RESOURCES
Come check out our vendor fair, where you’ll meet some of our community partners. You’ll find resources on mental health, healing through the arts, addressing and reporting hate crimes, environmental health and justice, and many more!
BEVERAGES, SNACKS, AND LUNCH
Food and drink will be provided throughout the festival. Lunch will be served on-site by local food caterer FWord Kitchen!
RAFFLE PRIZES
We’re raffling copies of Can We Talk, Break the Cycle by Dr. Mariel Buqué, Art Matters by Neil Gaiman, so anyone can practice having tough conversations with loved ones, work on intergenerational trauma, and use art as a means of expression. We’re also raffling goodies from the National Center for Civil and Human Rights, all the way from Atlanta. You won’t want to miss this!
