A collaboration between East Wind Foundation for Youth, local artist-scholar Micah Huang, and the CA Creative Corps, LA Hungry Ghost Festival honors the past and celebrates the present with traditional arts performances with a modern spin.

Performances include: dragon and lion dance, shadow puppet (YingXi 影戏) shows, zodiac and monkey king performances, kung fu demonstrations, fan dancers, local musicians, and more!

We will also have an LA Hungry Ghost Festival Community Resource Fair! A table will be provided in the shade of the brick Rec Center building that will be featuring a number of local organizations, including the Chinese Americans Citizen’s Alliance, the Chinese Cultural Association, Chinatown Branch LA Public Library, Metro Art, Asian Youth Center and others.
