National ACE Virtual Press and Community Briefing

National ACE to host briefing for AAPI media, civic and business owners on COVID-19-related federal lending and support programs.

About this Event

The Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic has severely impacted thousands of small businesses owned and operated by Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders throughout the U.S. Many AAPI small businesses are unaware of federal programs and services that are available to assist them during this period of uncertainty. Recently, Congress passed with full bi-partisan support, a federal $2.2 trillion stimulus and relief package to support small businesses throughout the U.S. This package is known as the Cares Act and includes a variety of loan packages and grants to help small businesses recover from the severe hardships created by the Coronavirus pandemic.

Due to the broad diversity that exists within the greater Asian American and Pacific Islander community, National ACE is working closely with its federal, state and local partners to ensure that small business owners and entrepreneurs have access to the valuable information they need to receive assistance and support from agencies such as the Small Business Administration (SBA). In order to assist AAPI small business owners navigate the wide—and often times confusing—array of federal, state and local programs available to them during and after the Coronavirus pandemic, National ACE created ACESmallBusiness.org to assist them.

Additionally, the website offers corporate and private programs designed to support small businesses.
