Join Asian Americans/Pacific Islanders in Philanthropy – LA Chapter (AAPIP-LA), the Asian Pacific Community Fund, and Southern California Grantmakers for a special tour of three historic LA neighborhoods – Chinatown, Historic Filipinotown (HiFi), and Little Tokyo – and discover how each is responding to urban development and change. You’ll explore and learn about a range of community-led solutions to preserving, protecting, and investing in local assets (ranging from affordable housing, resident engagement, and cultural activity) as a strategy to address gentrification and displacement, guided and inspired by the unique character and history of each community.
